Seems such a long time since the canal cycle ride. Time for a new challenge?
127.5 miles-done!
That’s it-we have completed the challenge of cycling the full length of the Leeds Liverpool canal. It was really nice to see Oliver from Reception class and Mrs Grant at the finish-thank you! Home now and resting as well as stiffening up! Thanks for all your messages of support. Now do your best to collect as much sponsor money as possible!

Day 2 done.
After a long (7 hours+) in the saddle we have eventually reached stop over 2. Nearly 80 miles covered so far so another 35 miles gets us to Shipley. Looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow. Check back tomorrow for details on time of arrival. Photo shows Mrs Travis at the exact half way point 63.75 miles.

Day 2 and more miles.
Day 2 underway. Breakfast helped us to climb the 21 lock Wigan flight and the extra padding in strategic areas is a bonus. Having a food stop at the moment. Long way to Burnley!

That was one tough day!
Eventually made it to the overnight stop at 8pm. Had to ask a policeman for directions as we missed the correct road in Liverpool city centre, which was a good start! The ride was tough and we have so far clocked up 51 miles. Quick bite to eat now and then a long lay down!

And they’re off!
Everything going to plan so far. Got a mention from Chris Evans on Radio 2 at 7am which was nice. Breakfast done, packed up and cycled into Leeds with no problems. Waiting for the train to Liverpool and then we can get cycling from the other end.11 miles done-only 116.5 to go! See you Friday.
